When it comes to mental health and its care delivery system, one aspect is often overlooked. What if the patient isolates him/herself and refrains from seeking help due to low accessibility (financially & socially), fear, stigma, or shame. 1 in 5 people suffer from some form of mental illness and <45% of them receive the adequate treatment. The Ripple Effect of Mental Health: Mental Health isn't limited to isolation or anxiety. It brings with it a lot of other issues. For eg, People with depression have a 40% higher risk of developing cardiovascular diseases. High school students with significant symptoms of depression are twice as likely to drop out. That's where we want to jump in. MindVerse is an interactive storytelling game that aims at bringing you a fundamental realisation and meaningful behaviour change. Our algorithm structures personalised story scenarios based on proven psychological methods for users to engage with. It also has a multiplayer mode with our in-house psychologist at the other end guiding the player at each step, thus providing the benefits of therapy without the need for one. Therapy is a luxury but this game isn't.
