Assisto is a mobile app developed for the elderly to avail services and get emergency help easily and quickly. Assisto uses a minimal UI to make using the app easier for the elderly and implements artificial intelligence to find the best services in the shortest distance alleviating the time needed for getting the service. People over 60 can use Assisto without any registration fee by registering with their IDs. After that, they can request a service by choosing the service category and their current location. Our app will determine the best-rated service in the shortest possible distance and connect them to assistants, i.e. service providers. Finally, the user will pay the charge calculated by our business model. Payment can be done via cash, credit card, and mobile banking. Additionally, our app tracks the location of the user and the agent while taking a service, for the safety of the elderly. The location is not shared with any third party without the consent of the user. Assisto is highly committed to ensuring the safety of senior citizens. The user, if feeling threatened, can share his/her location with their trusted contacts or nearby law enforcement agencies.
