Our team has decided to create a robot that will be releasing a magnetic like fluid which will eventually spread out across the surface of the water. This fluid lets all the micro plastic rise and clump together into one place. (As if it is an actual magnetic collecting pieces of metal however it collects plastics.) The robot then rises on the surface of the water to collect these chunks of plastic and store them into a tank. The robot rises every time After the tank is full it can separate from the robot and bring the trash ashore where it can be further recycled by miniature robots and volunteers which corrode the plastic and reduce the decomposition ratee energy is low so it can take energy by using the solar panels to continue functioning.
