Sorora Luar

Our project arises as a way of confronting the wave of gender violence that women in Mexico and Latin America are currently experiencing, which has caused the lack of safe support networks among women, as it leads us to compete, compare and judge each other, and makes us part of the problem. This is when Sorora Luar arises, an organization in charge of creating support networks and safe spaces among women, promoting sisterhood by sharing experiences and testimonies. Our goal is to generate alliances between women who decide to spread our message and are willing to join the action for a more sorority world. We take action through dialogue circles and activism in social networks, spreading information to educate the new generations and thus begin to reclaim the way we relate to each other, in addition to promoting our mental health by uniting and connecting despite the pandemic.
